Reducing Nicotine Use

Reducing Nicotine Use

Think back to the first time you started vaping. Whatever your reasons were to start vaping, it’s clear that you wanted to try something new. While the eJuices.com team believes that vaping should ultimately remain a personal decision, if you have any questions about the right nicotine strength, here are some tips on how to decide.

Try Lower Nicotine Strengths For A While

While you may have started at a higher strength of nicotine or enjoy salt nic eJuices, there is always an opportunity to try a new nicotine strength. Try it with something familiar like your favorite flavor of eJuice. For example, if you want to go from 12mg to 6mg of nicotine, you might want to try one bottle at the lower strength to see if your vaping experience changes for the better. The average eJuices.com customer vapes either 3mg or 6mg of nicotine in their favorite eJuices today.

Finding yourself going back to the higher nicotine strength? All things change.  Our vaping experience is no different. So after vaping at the higher strength, you might want to try going back down again on the nicotine strength at your own pace.

If you want to develop a plan to change your nicotine use, you can set goals like vaping a lower strength of nicotine every 2 weeks, or limiting the amount of time that you vape if you aren’t ready to lower your nicotine strength. These are just some tips to modify your nicotine use without compromising your vaping journey and experiences.

Preparing For The Long Run

While we all know about flavor bans and other regulations on vape products, some states and jurisdictions have put interesting twists on this regulation. In 2019, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), a known opponent of the vaping industry, introduced HR 4624. This bill would cap the nicotine content in eJuices to only 20mg/mL. This would have meant that salt nic vapers, who usually vape 35mg or 50mg nicotine strengths, would be forced to lower their nicotine use.

The FDA has also stated that they will crack down on disposable vape devices. While some companies have already been warned, fans of disposable vapes, which also have high nicotine content, should try to reduce their nicotine use sooner than later. Therefore making the switch to lower nicotine strengths is only advantageous to vapers since higher strength nicotine products may be forced off the market in the future.

Are you changing your nicotine use? Let us know! We’re looking forward to hearing your experiences.
