The Joys of Building a Vape Mod

The Joys of Building a Vape Mod

New to vaping? We were all new once. Congratulations and welcome to the vaping community. Want to build your own vape mod and cut back on your nicotine use? You’ve come to the right place. The eJuices.com team knows what it’s like to build a vape mod since most of us have vaped at one time or another. We’re here to give you the lowdown on how to build your own vape mod and enhance your vaping experience. How does it all go together? What parts work best together? Continue to read to find out.

Getting The Right Combination Down

You can find out all about vape coils and vape tanks on previous blogs on eJuices.com. Getting everything down to a science is part of what makes building a vape mod great. Like starting anything new, you’ll want to read the manual for your favorite vape mods to find out their compatibility with vape coils and vape tanks. For example, if you are a fan of GeekVape products, you can pair a GeekVape vape mod with a GeekVape vape coil and GeekVape vape tank. This will ensure consistency when you’re building your vape mod and will ensure that you have the best vaping experience possible.

DIY vapers tend to build their own coils, but you really should only do this if you have an understanding of the science that goes into vape mods. If you have a background in physics, such as knowing the science behind electric currents, you can really go wild with building vape coils for your favorite vape mods.

It also helps to know the content of your favorite vape juice. If you’re looking to vape nicotine salts with that extra nicotine content, go for higher resistance vape coils. Looking to cut down on the nicotine intake and still enjoy your vaping experience? There are vape coils that are as low as 0.2ohm resistance, so you can build your vape mod with low resistance vape coils. Make sure your coils are compatible with your vape tank and vape mod, or it will negatively affect your vaping experience.

Generally, pod systems are for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, which is good for nicotine salts. If you’re new to vaping and not yet ready to cut back on your nicotine use, nicotine salts generally contain anywhere from 20mg to 50mg of nicotine. Pod systems also offer higher resistance coils as we previously mentioned which are ideal for vaping nicotine salts.

If you’re using a box mod with a tank and a coil, you can go either way with nicotine salts or regular vape juices. Just make sure to read the instructions of your device to ensure you don’t burn coils out too quickly. No one likes a dry hit either, and you want to make sure you have enough vape juice to last you until your next purchase.

How To Use Your Vape Mod

The way you build your vape mod will determine what kind of vaping experience(s) you will get. Today, vape mods come with a variety of features such as wattage and temperature control that directly affect the vaping experience. For the most flavor and vapor, crank that wattage all the way up. However, you’ll be burning through vape coils faster as well. Are your favorite vape juices all-day vapes? Lower that wattage so your coils last longer and you can have that all-day vape vaping experience.

Using your vape mod shouldn’t be difficult if you follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer, but there are lots of factors to consider:

  1. What are you vaping? While fruit and dessert flavors are clear favorites among vapers, your experience may vary. Do you vape lots of different vape juices? Do you like traditional flavors such as tobacco and menthol? Some vape juices are labeled as all-day vapes (ADVs), which means you’ll be vaping more often as time goes along.
  2. What coils are you using? Vape coils below 1.0ohms will more likely be replaced more frequently, while those above 1.0ohms will last longer. Nicotine salts provide enough nicotine to satisfy vapers for longer periods of time, but those looking to reduce their nicotine intake will find themselves using their vape mods longer. (For more tips on how to reduce nicotine use, you can check out how to reduce your own nicotine use here.)
  3. While everyone who vapes is looking to reduce their nicotine use, you may need an entirely different setup, as previously mentioned, when you choose to start reducing your nicotine use. While most vape mods are flexible, you might want to change your vape tank and vape coil to reflect different vaping experiences, and adjust the settings on your vape mod to ensure you have the best vaping experience.

What Vape Mod Should I Use?

New to vaping? We suggest using pod systems for your first vape mod. There isn’t a lot of assembly required. Pod systems are also tailored to nicotine salt vaping and also have pods that accommodate sub-ohm vaping as well. Want more control over your vaping experience, or are you a seasoned vaper? You should consider using a box mod to help control factors such as wattage and temperature.

Your vaping experience is yours and yours alone. The joys of building a vape mod is part of the vaping experience as much as the actual act of vaping itself is part of the vaping experience. You can purchase your favorite vape mods here on eJuices.com. Leave a review and let us know what you think about your vape mod.
