IS ZYN BANNED?

Zyn Pouches have quickly risen to popularity and has set a standard for nicotine pouches. This brand has helped other vape brands produce the same quality if not better nicotine pouches. Providing different flavors and nicotine levels this may be the new popular way for nicotine delivery.

The brand Zyn is owned by Phillip Morris, a very well known name in the tobacco industry and vape industry. As far as the vape industry Phillip Morris is known for purchasing the Juul brand. He has also purchased Swedish Match which is the creator of the Zyn pouches. Zyn Pouches became popular among the college crowd and has maintained its popularity so much that Zyn can barely keep up with the demand mostly being out of stock in most places. The demand will only continue however, Zyn has now received a subpoena from the District of Columbia for the 2022 flavor ban on tobacco products, even though part of Zyn’s marketing is to be tobacco free nicotine. The FDA is now turning its attention to these nicotine pouches and reviewing on what they should do with Zyns. Zyn has had a sudden rise to popularity and may now be on downfall for Phillip Morris has halted all online North American sales which will make it even harder for consumers to get a hold of. Now with this halt and an already difficulty of keeping up with the supply and demand for these nicotine pouches, Zyn may start to fall.

Conclusion

Unfortunately for any consumer of Zyn pouches they may stop seeing these nicotine pouches on shelves and online. There are different brands however that are just as good if not better than the Zyn brand. The FDA has been going after tobacco substitutes that take a huge profit from the big tobacco industry. Even if the alternatives are healthier than anything curated from actual tobacco products. Nicotine is not healthy or good for you at all however, for the people who do intake nicotine why not let consumers try a healthier alternative that may help them quit in the future. Will we be seeing a nicotine prohibition in the future? Most people can find a way to get what they want legal or not. Hopefully Zyn will find away to get through this subpoena.
