Rocky in Customer Service knows quality beyond the customer service she provides at ECD: she has two Weimaraners named Jack and Moose. The Weimaraner was bred for hunting in the early 19th century in Germany. The Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, Karl August, held court in the city of Weimar. He is said to have named the dog breed as he enjoyed large game hunting.
Jack is 11 months and Moose is 5 months old; they have the same father but different mothers, but act very much like brothers. Rocky has given us some insight into what life is like with the two dogs. “Jack and Moose love to play together despite their size difference. Jack is a gentle older brother and little Moose is a bit of a bully. They both love to sit in Mom’s lap and sleep right on top of me too! We will find Jack in the pool by himself, swimming around without a care in the world. Moose will make cat noises while wrestling with Jack!” she said.
True to their purebred and champion European bloodlines, and keeping in line with their namesake, they are hunting dogs first and foremost. “They are hunting dogs and will display this behavior by ‘hunting’ each other, their dad, bugs, or pigeons in the backyard,” she said. Jack has a penchant to catch flies. Although they were originally large game hunting dogs, they will hunt about anything.
Some of Rocky’s favorite e-liquids include Bad Apple by Bad Drip e-Juice, Tortoise Blood by Shijin Vapor, and Original Yogi by Yogi E-Liquid. On that note, did you know dogs have been hunting companions for humans for over 20,000 years? That means the companionship between humans and dogs is almost unbreakable at this point. If you own more than one dog, do you think your dogs are as close as Jack and Moose? We’ll be featuring more of our staff members’ dogs in Dogust, so check back for more content!
